Feels Like - later than it is

There's the weatherman's measure of what the outside world feels like. As in, if it's very sunny and humid, and the thermometer shows 90 degrees, the relative feeling you get outside is more like a temperature a bit higher, say, 97 degrees.

Well, what about the measure of time? Our minds are often abstract where time is concerned: Time flies when you're having fun; feels like Monday; I can't believe we've been breaking into this bank for two hours -- it feels like it's only been an hour, officer! ...

You get the idea.

I think employers, in certain fields, ought to allow for a "feels like" time.

For instance, it's 2 pm on a Friday and your day has been dragging along? Feels like 5 pm, let's go home! An entire cottage industry in timepieces could be created around this idea. So, not only is it good for the mind's abstract sense of time, it will create jobs!
